The project removed about 1,770,000 cubic yards of soil to create a detention basin that holds approximately 963 acre feet of additional stormwater storage within the City of Houston's Keith-Wiess Park on Aldine-Westfield Road. Included with the project is construction of a hike and bike trail system and various site furnishings such as recreational equipment, soccer fields, pier and boardwalk.
The exact project location is west of Hwy 59 and south of Aldine Mail Road.
