Project Description

This partnership project with the City of Houston will develop a flood risk reduction project for Willow Waterhole Bayou, D112-00-00, in the Westbury neighborhood of the Brays Bayou watershed. The Flood Control District will purchase flood-prone properties from willing sellers, clear the properties and create a temporary shallow swale that will address street flooding in the area. These steps will complement a future City of Houston plan to address neighborhood drainage.
