In an effort to keep you informed about the Harris County Flood Control District’s continuing improvements in the Cypress Creek watershed, we want to notify you of recently completed work in your area. As of December 2022, the Flood Control District has completed work on Batch 1 and Batch 2 of the Major Maintenance of Cypress Creek and Tributaries program. This program aims to restore channel conveyance capacity in the watershed by repairing erosion and removing the sediment that has built up over time.

The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a community engagement meeting for the Taylor Gully Flood Risk Reduction Project. The purpose of this meeting is to inform residents about the project’s status, share project information and gather important community input on this effort.

The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a virtual public meeting to provide updates on progress associated with the Halls Bayou Bond Program. This is part of a series of meetings about the Halls Bayou watershed projects that the Flood Control District will host to gather feedback and share updates with the community. These meetings will be held in addition to ongoing bond project community engagement meetings focused on specific projects within the program.
